Focused when compared to other news apps

In the morning I always like to skim the news to be aware of what is going on. I have installed several news apps, only to discover that they focus on what I spend time on rather than the news. Of course, it takes me a lot more time to read a good article on cooking (my hobby) that a quick glance at an article about Trump’s latest tweet. The Reuter’s app, both on the phone and the tv, lets me choose how much time I want to spend getting up to date, has a good balance of news (world, business, sports, etc) and is fairly impartial in its coverage. While I still use some of the other apps, Reuters TV has become my primary source of real world news.
I very strongly recommend it over all the other news apps — keep up the great work Reuters!

Fast, Quality News with Offline Functionality

I check this app 2-3 times a day, usually in the morning and evening. You can choose from a 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 min newscast; I often go with the 30. Most stories are no longer than 2 min, and you can skip around through them if you’d like. There’s also a separate tab for live coverage, such as press conferences, ceremonies and rescue operations; it’s all archived if you want to watch something again.
What pushes this app from 4 to 5 stars: you can easily download a show of any length for offline viewing/listening. And everything continuously plays even when the screen is off (hallelujah).
Reuters has a great multimedia team that contributes to this app; I always especially look forward to Andy Sullivan’s incisive U.S. politics videos and Conway Gittens’s quick analyses of global market trends.
I’m always telling friends and family about this app and how great it is. For timely world and U.S. news it’s tough to beat, and the customization feature is unmatched. Highest possible recommendation.
