iOS 6 is here, and it’s bigger and better than any previous iOS version. It is bringing some incredible features to the table, and it marks the turning point of Apple beefing up security and improving the performance of their operating system. It’s ready for download right now, and we’re going to show you how to do it.

Let’s go

Active iOS 6 Firmware:

Contents

Right now, there are few firmware versions being supported actively:

  • iOS 6.1.3 ( selected devices )
  • iOS 6.1.5 ( selected devices )
  • iOS 6.1.6 ( selected devices )

Expired Firmwares:

And these are the expired versions:

  • iOS 6
  • iOS 6.0.1
  • iOS 6.0.2
  • iOS 6.1
  • iOS 6.1.1
  • iOS 6.1.2
  • iOS 6.1.4

It is possible to downgrade to these versions but not in the normal way – we’ll be telling you how to do it later. If you do try in the normal way, you will get an iTunes 3194 error with a message that says, “Device is not eligible for the requested build”.
