Powerbuilder Windows 10 Support

On June 30, 2017 PowerBuilder 2017 was launched by Appeon. This release is the first new installment of PowerBuilder from Appeon and is the first release of PowerBuilder to support Windows 10, iOS, and Android app development. On May 31, 2019 PowerBuilder 2019 was launched by Appeon. I had the installation issue with PowerBuilder 12.6 on an DELL Lattitude i5-6300U with Windows 10 Pro (64Bit, 16GB RAM). This device had a multitouch display (10 touchpoints). I got only the splash screen even installing and running PB126.exe as administrator. I had had to kill the TabTip.exe Process. When Killing TabTip.exe the TabTip32.exe. As far as the PB help files, I’m running PB 12.5 on Windows 10 and the.CHM help appears to work fine C: Users Public Documents Sybase PowerBuilder 12.5 Help pbman125.chm. In case you are not aware, Appeon plans to release a new version of PowerBuilder that will support Windows 10.

So, my dad just got a brand new Windows 10 laptop, and he needs to find a way to get Power Builder 12.5 to work on it. It worked fine on Windows 7, he needs it for work.

Right now, it takes FOREVER to start up, and that is, when it actually starts up. The first few times he ran it, it took over 15 minutes to start, but it did ultimately start. Now, a few days later, it just hangs at the splash screen and that's it. We let it run overnight, nothing.

We know there's a newer version, 12.6, but he really doesn't want to go out and buy the new one. I'm trying running it in compatibility mode for Windows 7 right now, but so far that doesn't seem to be making a difference.
